Date of entry with effect from May 20, 2024
This online privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) explains our treatment of personal data provided to us on websites, mobile websites, mobile applications and other digital services and products controlled by PLANBRIQ, Glasbronnenstrasse 28, 75449 Wurmberg, Germany, which contain a link to this Privacy Policy (collectively “Planbriq Websites”). The types of personal information we may collect during your use of Planbriq websites are set out in this section and include both the information you provide to us and the information we collect automatically during your use of Planbriq websites.
For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, “personal data” refers to data that identifies you or could reasonably be used to identify you. Personal data includes, for example, your name, address, telephone number and e-mail address.

- Compensation information if you are providing a service to Planbriq in your capacity as a healthcare professional
- Work experience, education and other background information if you are inquiring about employment opportunities with Planbriq

Personal data that you provide during other interactions with Planbriq
You may contact Planbriq to ask questions, discuss your concerns or report problems with our products. When you communicate with Planbriq or request information from Planbriq, you may be asked to leave your contact details and provide personal data relevant to your request.
We also collect information about your use of Planbriq websites using tracking technologies, such as cookies and web beacons. A “cookie” is a unique numeric code that is transferred to your computer to track your interests and preferences and to identify you as a returning visitor. A “web beacon” is a transparent graphic that is placed on a website, in an email or advertisement and enables the monitoring of activities such as user activity and website traffic. These technologies allow us to remember your preferences and provide you with content and features that are likely to be of most interest to you based on “clickstream data” showing your past activity on Planbriq websites.
We use Google Display Network Ads (such as Retargeting with Google Analytics, Google Display Network Impression Reporting, DoubleClick Campaign Manager Integration, and Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting) to (1) show you our ads on other websites based on your previous visits to Planbriq's websites and (2) better understand the impact of our ads and the use of ad services. In connection with the Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting service, we may use Google's interest-based advertising data or third-party audience data (such as age, gender and interests) with Google Analytics to better understand and improve our marketing campaigns and website content.
Some of our online advertising takes place via Google Display Network ads. As part of this program, we use the functions of Google Analytics, such as retargeting. In connection with this and other functions offered by advertising networks, we and the operators of advertising networks, including Google, may use third-party cookies (such as DoubleClick cookies) - and in some cases first-party cookies (such as Google Analytics cookies) - based on the user's previous visits to Planbriq websites. This is done for information purposes and to improve and provide advertisements on the Internet. When you visit Planbriq's websites, we may also show you advertisements from our affiliated companies. You can deactivate Google advertising at HTTP://WWW.GOOGLE.COM/ADS/PREFERENCES. If you do not agree with the use of your data by Google Analytics, you can install a browser add-on to deactivate Google Analytics from the Google Analytics deactivation website. This Planbriq website has been designed not to respond to “do-not-track” signals sent by web browsers. For more information about cookies and other tracking technologies, including how to disable them, please visit HTTP://WWW.ALLABOUTCOOKIES.ORG/. Please note that some cookies are essential for the functioning of our websites and their deletion or deactivation may limit the functionality of the website.
Under EU data protection law, a legal basis is required for Planbriq to process your personal data. The applicable legal basis will depend on the specific purposes for which Planbriq processes your personal data as described above:
- In certain cases, Planbriq must obtain your consent to collect and process your Personal Data. If you provide consent, you may later withdraw your consent by contacting us as described in the section “Your privacy preferences”. Please note that the withdrawal of consent will not affect the processing that has already taken place.
- In other cases, the processing of your personal data may be necessary to comply with applicable laws and regulations or to fulfill a contract concerning you. It may be impossible for you to object to such processing, or your objection may affect our ability to fulfill contractual obligations owed to you.
- In other cases, Planbriq may process your personal data for Planbriq's legitimate interest to communicate with you about our products and services, scientific research and educational opportunities. You have the right to object to all such processing of your personal data. To do so, you can contact us as described in the section “Your privacy preferences”.
You may be shown customized online advertising for Planbriq products and services on third party websites and mobile services. This is done, for example, based on information you provide on a Planbriq or third-party website you visit, or based on your browsing history, purchases or interests. These types of customized online advertisements may be created from multiple sources, such as
- We may provide our advertising service providers with your non-identifying information that we have collected through the cookies and other tracking technologies used on Planbriq's websites.
- Some of Planbriq's websites participate in online behavioral advertising (sometimes called retargeting or interest-based advertising). You can identify these websites via the “Advertising preferences” link in the footer. Our advertising network partners may set and use cookies on Planbriq websites and other third-party websites to collect information about your activities in order to provide you with online advertisements based on your interests. When such online behavioral advertising is offered to you by Planbriq, an “AdChoices” icon will appear. If you click on the icon or link, you will be redirected to a website where you can manage or opt out of the use of your browsing history data used to deliver the online behavioral advertising. If you opt out of ads, you may still see online ads, including ads from Planbriq. These ads are based on other information (for example, the content of the web page you are currently viewing rather than previous clickstream activity). In certain cases, these third-party advertisers may still collect data about your browsing behavior. However, they will not use this data to serve ads based on the websites you have previously visited. You can also disable this option now by clicking here.
- Some web browsers may send “do-not-track” signals to websites that are in communication with the browser. As of the effective date of this Privacy Policy, an industry standard for responding to these signals has not yet been established. For this reason, Planbriq does not currently respond to these signals. As explained above, advertisers who use your browsing history to deliver online behavioral advertising can opt-out under adchoices.
